It is a competitive world out there in cyberland. A lot of single keywords have a lot of competition. So how do you get traffic with so much competition?
Simple answer is: Keyword Research.
If you are adding content to your blog or website, don’t just whack up anything. No way Hozay…..
You need to find those keywords that have no competition.
I tell you now, if you don’t Pal, no one is even gonna smell your post let alone read it!
This is very important. It makes a big difference to getting a couple of views and then getting a ton of views.
Go Ahead – Research your competition first before you post next time.
You definitely need to do Keyword research and to anticipate how much competition there will for your target keyword. If you don’t do keyword research… it is comparable to opening up a business in a location without doing any research on if the location is a busy location, etc.
Till then,
Jean
hi, nice post.
When would you suggest using negative match for keywords?
How would you do keyword research for a new client?
Keyword research is very important part. Choose proper business related keywords.
You can start by using Google’s Keyword Tool at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal#. Be careful, though, when looking at the results. The competition is for pay per click; not pages in the SERPs. It’s still a good indicator because people will not pay a lot for bad keywords so, if the PPC competition is fierce, you can figure that it’s a good keyword.
You can wind-up over optimizing. I would write naturally, use at least an H1 tag and then work on backlinks. Ever check a cached version of a site a never find the keywords even on the page?
