Post to your blog as much as you can. If you can’t think of anything to post, write about the weather. Whatever you do, just post something. People will flock and get interested in your blog.

Then, register another domain in a non-competitive niche. Pick anything – just make sure there is a reasonable amount of money in the niche.

OK, now link from your blog to your new website. Put a link on the front page of your blog. Whenever you post something you will get a backlink to your website. This will help a lot over time. YES, It will take time, however, be patient and keep posting.
