It probably isn’t much of a secret that you need to find a niche that has minimal competition if you want to succeed online. If you don’t – you risk getting frustrated and “throwing in the towel” like a big sook.
Make it easier for yourself and choose a niche that has limited competition. Chances are you will do a lot better and keep going for the long term. The question is – how do you find these niches?
How to Find a Niche.
It really isn’t that hard. You can use a number of tools to find an untapped niche online.
Tool Number 1 – Your Brain
This has to be the best tool you have. Take a look around you – what could you possibly use as a niche? There are so many things in the world, start typing in Google to see what sort of competition there is.
Tool Number 2 – Google Keyword Tool
This tool allows you to get an idea of how popular things are in the world of the internet. Remember – it is an indication of the amount of people advertising using AdWords – not the amount of people searching for any particular term. However, it still gives you a very good idea of what might be popular and how much competition there is.
Tool Number 3 – Third Party Websites
You can sign up to a number of websites that allow you to search for terms and see how popular they are. They might cost you a bit, but you will get results.
Remember – if you choose the wrong niche you will be in “struggle street” for a long time, probably give up and take your bat and ball home to mom.
