Improve Conversion – Less Traffic More Cash In Your Pocket!


Kick them in the shins, trip them up, hit them hard……who you ask?

Your customers of course. Are you receiving a ton of traffic, well, maybe your not. The good news is, you don’t need a massive amount of traffic. You need to GRAB their attention and get better conversions.

All of the websites you see online, that flog traffic to you – are simply doing that, flogging traffic.

YOU NEED TARGETED TRAFFIC.

OK, everyone knows this right?

What do you do though when your traffic arrives?


Think of it like a shop on the street – and you are the owner. A customer comes in the front door, what do you do?

Kick them in the shins? No, didn’t think so.

OK this is an extreme example, but the principle is the same.

Don’t scare off your customers the moment they arrive. You need to ATTRACT them even further. It starts before they even land on your homepage and continues as soon as they land on your homepage.

Here are 5 things you need to do to make sure your customers stay longer than 5 seconds AND make sure that they convert to buyers.


No Way Out

Depending on your business model, you should set up each page so there is

NO WAY OUT BUT BUY.

Obviously this could be difficult with a shopping cart set up or a blog, however, you can still make it work to some degree. You can limit the choices at the purchase page.

This does work well for a landing page situation where you are selling one product only. If you have nothing on your page – yep zip, zero, zilch, BUT the option to BUY.


This means ABSOLUTELY no distractions. You are focused on closing the deal with your potential customer – very similar to a salesman closing a deal face to face.

Don’t have any ads, links, distractions or anything in your webpage that allows the potential buyer to leave the page.

The only way they can get out is by hitting the back button or hitting the home button on their browser. You must have their full attention.


Cannot See The Forest For The Trees – Clear Directions

Do you have a sales page that has everything on it - all the goodies, but

DOES NOT SPELL IT OUT - >>>>>>> CLICK HERE TO BUY NOW! <<<<<<<<<

You need to make it very obvious how to buy your item. It maybe obvious to you, but it certainly, probably, most likely isn’t to your potential customer.

Do you want to SELL?

or

Do you want to probably, maybe, most likely SELL?

Obviously – you want the sale – so spell out HOW to take the next step.


It might be an obvious one, but you would be surprised how many people would hit the back button because there is limited instructions on HOW TO BUY.

Therefore – spell it out – put a big arrow, put a line of text that says

‘Click This Link To Buy’

You need to be very obvious and spoon feed your customers into buying.


Cover Your Bases

Allow your customers to ‘BUY’ using several different payment methods.


Paypal, Clickbank, Google, Visa, Mastercard – All the options.

Make sure you have given them enough options so that they can choose their preferred method. Obviously – you need the ease of setting up your site – so choose your merchant carefully.


Easy To Read – Text

Make the size of your text easy to read. To many times you see web pages with small text – text you can barely see.

Clarity, text that is large, but not too large, makes a big difference. And also, don’t jam up your page with heaps of text.


Bye Bye Customer – Professional Graphics

Lastly, make your page look professional. There is nothing worse than;

1. A page that is slow to load – Bye Bye Customer
2. Grainy images that are not crisp – Bye Bye customer
3. Poor linking – Bye Bye Customer
4. No contact details – Bye Bye Customer
5. No USP – Unique Selling Position – Bye Bye Customer
6. Boring pages with no design – Bye Bye Customer.


Your pages need to look good. It does not take much to do this if you are creative.

If you are not creative – pay someone to do it for you.

So, improve your conversion rate and you need less traffic.

Get both – Conversions and Traffic

and

you are on a money spinner.

You need to get good conversions if you don’t want to spend half your life driving traffic. And you certainly don’t want to be kicking shins.
